Removals and man with a van in East Kilbride

Our service in East Kilbride

East Kilbride is our home town. Vanbythehour.com is based at Sycamore Place in the G75 postcode, and the majority of our work starts or finishes here. When you book a job in East Kilbride, the van is setting out from within the town, which keeps local jobs straightforward to plan.

East Kilbride covers both the G74 and G75 postcode areas. It includes established neighbourhoods such as St Leonards, Greenhills, Calderwood, Westwood, Whitehills and The Village, alongside newer housing in areas such as Stewartfield and Jackton. That mix means very different jobs: a move from a flat near the town centre, a full house move to a new-build estate, or a sofa collected from one of the retail parks.

Local moves are some of the most common jobs we do: families moving between neighbourhoods, people downsizing within the town, and residents collecting large items they have bought from shops in East Kilbride or online. If you have bought from M&S, Next, B&Q or other local stores and cannot get the item home, our bulky item collection service covers it.

Planning a job in East Kilbride

New-build areas

On newer estates, roads, parking and house numbering can change while building work continues. Give us clear directions and a contact number for the day.

Town centre flats

For flats near the centre, tell us about stairs, lifts and the nearest place the van can stop.

Moving within the town

Short local moves still need planning: the job time is driven by loading and unloading, not just distance.
