Full house removals

About this service

Our full house removals service is designed to make moving home as smooth as possible. We handle everything from small houses to large family homes. You tell us what is going, we plan the van space and the number of people needed, and on the day we load, transport and unload your belongings.

Furniture disassembly and reassembly can be included where you need it, for example beds and wardrobes that will not go through a doorway in one piece. Packing is available as an optional extra: ask about it when you request your quote, so it can be planned and priced properly rather than added on the day.

What the service includes

• Loading, transport and unloading of furniture, boxes and household items
• Dismantling and reassembling furniture where required
• Protecting furniture during loading and transit
• Placing items in the rooms you choose at the new property
• Optional packing, arranged and quoted in advance

When customers use it

• Moving from one house to another within East Kilbride, for example between neighbourhoods such as Calderwood, Stewartfield or St Leonards
• Moving from Glasgow or elsewhere in Lanarkshire into East Kilbride, or the other way round
• Downsizing, where some furniture is moving and some may need to be cleared
• Moving into a new-build home, where parking and access may still be changing

What to tell us for a quote

• The collection and delivery addresses, including postcodes
• The number of bedrooms and the main rooms being moved
• Large or heavy items such as wardrobes, American-style fridges, pianos or gym equipment
• Stairs, lifts and the distance from the door to where the van can park
• Your preferred date and time window, and whether your date is fixed by a key handover
• Whether you need packing or furniture dismantling

Access, parking and timing

Parking and access

Tell us whether there is a driveway, private parking, free on-street parking or paid or permit parking at each address. Where loading has to happen some distance from the door, the job takes longer, so it is better to plan for that in the quote.

Key times

House moves often depend on the time keys are released. If your timings are tight, mention it so the day can be planned realistically.

Preparation

Having boxes packed, sealed and labelled by room before we arrive makes loading quicker and unloading more organised.

Limitations

Some items may need specialist handling, such as very heavy safes, pianos or hot tubs. Mention them at the quote stage so we can tell you honestly whether we can move them safely.
